This year events are coming back with a BANG!

We have a year filled to the brim with events for everyone to enjoy.

The events calendar is kicked off on Saturday 30th April with our Scottish Theme Day. Part of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, our Scottish Theme Day celebrates everything Scottish!

Join the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival Team to taste a wee dram or two. Witness our spectacular Tartan Stilt Walkers and learn some circus skills with Hop Scotch Magic. Everyone’s favourite Bubbles the Clown will be there with his balloons and juggling (and maybe a trick or two!).

If you have a Westie, Scotty Dog, or Scottish Terrier be sure to bring them along to take part in our Wee Scottish Dog Parade!

The City Centre will be filled with the sound of bagpipes from Elgin & District Pipe Band. And if you are a fan of drums you will have to come and see Clann a Drumna!

BEEP BEEP! Our next event will be Classic Car & Bike Show on Saturday 18th June.

Classic cars and bikes will be spread across the City Centre for classic vehicle enthusiasts to come and see.

After you’ve had a look around all the cars and bikes, the monthly Farmers Market will also be in full swing all day.

If you would like to showcase your classic car or bike you can book your space online here.

August will see three events! The first being our biggest event of the year- The Elgin Food & Drink Festival.

Taking place on Saturday 20th August the giant outdoor street market will be returning!

Entertainment on the day will include chef demonstrations, cocktail demonstrations, and a new addition to the event that anyone can get involved in (more details coming soon!).

Families can head to Commerce Street Kids Zone for fun for all ages!

Buskers will be playing a variety of music throughout the city centre to give that festival vibe.

Stall bookings are currently being taken, if you would like to attend the event you can book your place online here.

Fast forward to the following Saturday and we have two events for you!

In the morning is the annual launch of the Cannonbawz Run. Come along from 9.30am to see the super cars before they set off on their run of the NC500 at 11.30am.

The afternoon is one for the dog lovers as we bring back the International Dog Day Parade!!

Our next event is perfect for those that love a bit of pampering and some bubbles.

The Prosecco & Pamper Charity event was so popular in 2019 we had to bring it back to Elgin Town Hall on Friday 30th September.

The evening will be kicked off with a complimentary glass of prosecco (or mocktail), followed by a pamper treatment of your choice! Sweet and savoury canapes will be served and if you can’t get enough sweet things, a trip to our candy cart is an absolute must.

To round of the evening there will be bingo and the raffle will be drawn!

All money raised on the evening will be donated to the Elgin BID charities who do work on the ground supporting the people of Elgin and Moray.

Things will then get spooky on Saturday 29th October with Enchanted Elgin’s Spooktacular Event!

We’ve got fangtastic activities for ghouls and little monsters off all ages!

The year will then be rounded off with the Christmas Light Switch On on Saturday 26th November.

Come and witness the beautiful Elgin Christmas Lights being switched on to start the festive season!

Santa & his reindeer will be back in town and there will be loads of activities and market stalls on all day!

Santa & his Reindeer will be setting off at 2pm from the car park next to Elgin Museum! Be sure to spread the word!

Santa’s Post Office will be back in Elgin for the day! Head to the back of St Giles’ Church and you will find Santa’s Post Office! Step inside to write your letter to Santa and post it in the magic post box where it will be whisked away to the North Pole! Santa will then read your letter and write his reply and send it back to his Elves in Elgin and let you know when it is ready to be collected!

This year the Christmas Lights are being switched on at 4.15pm!

There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family starting from 11:00, it is sure to be a great day for everyone!
